Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization OCAWO has started self-sustainability programs for the families of the orphans in the capital and other provinces of Afghanistan in order to help these families generate income and escape poverty so they can pursue their education. These programs consist of milking cow distribution, tailoring machine distribution, mushroom farming and orchard farming.

Emal Niazi: A Symbol of Effort, Honesty, and Commitment
Alhamdulillah! Another inspiring story from the Qarz-e-Hasana program of the Orphan Care Afghanistan.
Emal Niazi is a young man who not only carries the responsibility of his own family but also looks after his orphaned nephews. Despite facing difficult circumstances, he has never stopped striving for a better future.
In February 2025, the Orphan Care Afghanistan set up a small food stall selling soup and falafel for him along the Kabul–Logar road. From the very first day, Emal was able to earn between 200 and 400 Afghanis daily, and with dedication, he fully repaid his loan on time.
The Qarz-e-Hasana program is a golden opportunity—an interest-free loan that, once repaid, leaves no further financial obligation and allows individuals to continue their path to success with their own capital.
Today, Emal’s business is growing day by day, a clear result of his effort, honesty, and courage.
We sincerely wish him continued progress, blessings, and even greater achievements.
So far, the Orphan Care Afghanistan has been able to establish small businesses for 155 orphan families through the Qarz-e-Hasana program.
