The Orphan care Afghanistan welfare organization has established small businesses for six more orphan families who have returned from a neighboring country in Kunar Province.
These businesses include photocopy services, grocery shops, mobile accessories, and solar equipment. The support was provided after a thorough survey and necessary training, and the businesses were handed over to the beneficiaries.
For these businesses, each eligible individual received approximately 20,000 Afghanis as a Qard Hasan (interest-free loan).
The beneficiaries will gradually repay this amount by depositing between 1,500 to 2,000 Afghanis each month into the bank account of the Orphan care Afghanistan welfare organization until the loan is fully settled.
With this, the number of small businesses in Kunar Province has reached 18, and across the country, the total number of businesses established through this program has reached 215.
