This program is on hold

❌ Although the vocational and educational training program was beneficial, the Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, organized structured six-month tailoring and educational courses for more than 160 orphans. The orphans successfully completed the program and were awarded certificates and basic work tools upon graduation. However, when the workplaces and incomes of the graduates were later assessed, it was found that only a small number had managed to find jobs with very low income. A large percentage of the graduates remained unemployed. Due to limited funding, we were unable to establish shops or workspaces for each graduate. As a result, many of them had to seek opportunities on their own, and most were not successful in doing so. Based on these findings, we decided to suspend the tailoring training program.

Skills Training

This program offers training in trades, the English language, science, religious studies, and social ethics to orphans. At the end of the program, participants are provided with the necessary tools for their trades, and their progress is continuously monitored to ensure they are engaged in work and generating income. To date, 160 orphans have graduated from this program.
