Emergency Relief and Humanitarian Assistance Report

2022

In 2022, cash assistance was provided to 100 earthquake-affected families in Paktika and Khost provinces, totaling 872,000 Afghanis (9,700 USD).

In Uruzgan Province, one vulnerable family headed by five widows and orphans received 107,500 Afghanis (1,200 USD) in cash support.

Additionally, dozens of families in Kabul received winter fuel and cash assistance.

Overall, in 2022, more than 150 families were supported with a total of 1,641,140 Afghanis (18,234 USD) in humanitarian aid.

2023

In 2023, the Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization provided emergency assistance to families affected by natural disasters and supported vulnerable households with winter heating fuel.

Approximately 100 families benefited from this support, with a total of 844,990 Afghanis (12,071 USD) distributed.

2024

In 2024, a total of 7,047,113 Afghanis (100,673 USD) was spent on emergency relief. Details are as follows:

  1. Earthquake Victims in Herat Province

   40 families, including orphans and individuals with disabilities, were supported.

   A total of 3,062,673 Afghanis (43,752 USD) was transferred to them via bank accounts.

  1. Returnees from Neighboring Countries

   26 families were surveyed and provided with bank accounts.

   For 8 months, they received regular support totaling 1,149,750 Afghanis (16,425 USD).

  1. Flood Victims in Baghlan Province (May)

   61 families received 20,000 Afghanis (285 USD) each.

   A total of 1,223,000 Afghanis (17,471 USD) was distributed.

  1. Ramadan Aid

   128 families (3,359 individuals) received food packages for Iftar.

   This program cost 1,102,840 Afghanis (15,754 USD).

  1. Winter Heating Support

   In January, 16 families received heating fuel worth 40,000 Afghanis (571 USD).

   In December, 198,000 Afghanis (2,828 USD) was distributed to 40 orphan families.

  1. Miscellaneous Emergency Aid

   A total of 179,150 Afghanis (2,559 USD) was distributed for urgent needs.

2025

During Ramadan 2025, food packages were distributed to 607 orphaned and needy families, with a total value of 3,366,800 Afghanis (38,299 USD).

In September 2025, a severe earthquake struck Kunar Province, causing significant loss of life and destruction of homes.

The organization surveyed 50 orphan families and opened bank accounts for them at Azizi Bank. Each family received 100 USD per month for 4 months.

A total of 20,000 USD was transferred to these families through the banking system.

2026

During Ramadan 2026, food packages were distributed to 370 orphaned and vulnerable families, with a total value of 2,198,300 Afghanis (34,893 USD).
