Alhamdulillah, Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization has successfully established and handed over 2 new small businesses to orphans and their direct guardians in Kabul Province following a thorough assessment and the necessary orientation.
The newly established businesses include:
* Small restaurant tools
* Shoes shop
Under this program, each eligible beneficiary receives an interest-free loan of approximately AFN 25,000 to start a small business, become self-reliant, and improve their family’s economic situation.
Beneficiaries gradually repay the loan by depositing AFN 1,500 to AFN 2,000 per month into the bank account of Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization until the full loan amount is repaid. This is a Qard Hasan (interest-free loan) program, and no interest, service fees, or additional charges are collected from any beneficiary.
Alhamdulillah, with these 2 newly established businesses, the total number of small businesses created through this program has now reached 308.
This program is exclusively designed for orphans and their direct guardians and continues to expand, providing vulnerable families with sustainable livelihood opportunities and helping them achieve financial independence.
