1. Financial Support:
As promised, 50 orphaned families were carefully surveyed, and bank accounts were opened for their guardians in Azizi Bank. All of them received their September payments smoothly. We had earlier clarified that a total of 20,000 USDwas allocated for these 50 orphan families — each family receiving 100 USD per month.The full amount will be distributed gradually over four months.
2. Psychological and Educational Support:
During the second week after the earthquake, our team of female teachers, accompanied by a male guardian, visited three camps and met with about 80 families who were severely affected, lost family members, and were under emotional stress. The team provided counseling, encouragement, and awareness on patience, resilience, health, education, and hope for the future.
3. Small Business Support:
Those brothers whose shops or small businesses were damaged — including orphans or their guardians who are skilled workers but lack tools or resources — are being surveyed by our team. Through the Qarz-E-Hasana (interest-free loan) program,small businesses are being established for them. The survey for this program is currently ongoing, and the implementation process is progressing step by step. Full details will be shared later.
4. Livestock Support:
In Nurgal District,during October,15 orphan families without guardians will receive milking cows. A survey is being conducted to identify families that meet the program’s criteria — those capable of caring for cows and with access to a milk market. The survey is currently in progress and will be completed next week, followed by the distribution process. These distributed cows will be monitored and evaluated continuously for three years.
