RAMADAN APPEAL – 2026
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Dear respected brothers and sisters seeking the pleasure of Allah through small but sincere actions,
Ramadan reminds us that fasting is not only about hunger — it is about mercy, generosity, and caring for those struggling with poverty.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast will have a reward like his, without decreasing the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.” (Jamiʿ at-Tirmidhi)
In last year Ramadan, with your support, Orphan Care Australia, in partnership with Orphan Care Canada and Orphan Care Afghanistan, distributed one-month food packages to 604 orphan families.
This year, we have identified 1,000 orphan and needy families across Afghanistan who urgently need assistance during Ramadan.
A one-month Ramadan food package (flour/wheat, rice, ghee, dal, sugar, tea, Washing powder, and salt) costs US$100.
All administration and operational costs are covered by Orphan Care. 100% of your donation goes directly to the families in need.
