OCAWO Launches Tree Plantation Program in Nangarhar Province for 2024

In a dedicated effort to enhance environmental sustainability and promote green spaces, the OCAWO has started its 2024 tree plantation program in Nangarhar province.
The organization has set a target of planting 6276 trees of various species throughout the province this year. Among these, 500 fruit-bearing plants are for distribution to orphans, contributing to both environmental conservation and financial stability.
The remaining 5776 trees will be strategically planted in public areas, including schools, clinics, and various other communal spaces. This initiative is part of OCAWO’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthier and greener environment for local residents.
Over the past two years, OCAWO has successfully planted thousands of trees in public areas across Nangarhar province, making significant strides in combating deforestation and improving the overall ecological balance. The organization’s proactive approach includes thorough surveys of areas in dire need of afforestation, ensuring that the program addresses the most pressing environmental concerns in the region.
As OCAWO starts this tree plantation program, the organization remains steadfast in its dedication to environmental conservation. The initiative not only contributes to the beautification of public spaces but also serves as a vital step towards building a sustainable and resilient ecosystem for future generations. OCAWO affirms its commitment to continuing such initiatives in the years to come, reinforcing its role as a champion of environmental stewardship in Nangarhar province.
