The Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization has successfully established 13 more small businesses for orphan families in Kabul, Nangarhar, and Maidan Wardag provinces after conducting detailed surveys and providing the necessary guidance to eligible beneficiaries.
These businesses include:
Grocery shops
Children’s accessories
Carpentry
Bicycle repair tools
General trade supplies
Tailoring
Through this program, each eligible beneficiary received approximately 25,000 AFN as Qard Hasan (interest-free loan) to help them start a small business and improve their family’s financial condition.
The beneficiaries will gradually repay the loan by depositing between 1,500 to 2,000 AFN monthly into the bank account of the Orphan Care Afghanistan Welfare Organization until the loan is fully repaid.
Alhamdulillah, with these newly established businesses, the total number of businesses created through this program has now reached 281.
This program is specifically designed for orphans and their direct guardians, and the initiative continues on an ongoing basis.
